2011: third sector projects conducted research into social coherence in a large new mixed tenure housing development on behalf of a consortium of Social Landlords. The project trained local residents as researchers and produced a wealth of evidence around tenant and home owner perceptions of their neighbours, the development, and the area. This has now formed the basis of an action plan to promote social interaction and community identity.
2013 : Dave Morgan and Roger Baldry completed an in-depth assessment of the social impact of the Broughton Trust's Community Learning Programme drawing on the views of stakeholders including thirteen delivery partners and over 500 learners.
third sector projects delivered a Community-based Research and Consultation training programme for 8 East Salford residents as part of Year 1 of the Irwell Valley Project. This delivered research to support a major proposed restoration of historic Peel Park together with more evidence of community interest in sustainability issues from greening and growing, to river management, to fuel poverty and energy use.
2014 : Working with a Salford Consortium of Community Learning organisations third sector projects co-ordinated a successful £490000 bid for community-led learning in Salford.
